The sizing sticker has now become a standard for baseball caps thanks in great part to the NEW ERA CAP COMPANY. Rival brands quickly followed and cemented its place in the market. How the sticker rose from a simple label to fashion accessory is the stuff of urban legend. Theories vary. The most common tale is that the sticker was a badge of authenticity/status. While are folks hustling knock offs as the real McCoy, the sticker symbolizes the original article (and that you have the money to afford the real thing.)
