“California loooooove…..” WINFIELD AUTHENTIC CAPS represents the West Coast with this new “G-Funk” NEW ERA 59Fifty cap. G-Funk, or “Gangsta Funk”, emerged from West Coast Gangsta rap in the early ’90s. The G-Funk sound, dubbed by Warren G. (Dr. Dre’s brother) sampled Funk/Soul artists like Parliament, Funkadelic, the Ohio Players, the Meters, Fazo, Bootsie Collins and the late great Rodger Troutman (THE original Vocoder master). This fitted features a Black crown with ‘G-Funk’ embroidered in White on the front panels. The Green under visor features a Black screen print image of the legendary VIP record in Long Beach, California. The landmark was the birthplace of the group 213, which was made of the unsigned Snoop Gogg, Warren G, Nate Dogg and Snoop Dog. The back features ” Funky & Mellow” embroidered in White. MAJOR is dropping another insane NEW ERA 59Fifty Fitted cap known as the “Kente.” Kente is a type of woven fabric made and worn by the Ashanti people of Ghana. It was said to be a royal and sacred cloth, only to be worn at times of great importance. It was first introduced in the mid ’90s by the Georgetown Hoyas basketball team by wearing it on their uniforms. There is no set release date for this upcoming Major fitted, but we will keep you posted.
