Ressurecting itself from (some of) our collective childhoods, TRIPLE F.A.T. GOOSE has reintroduced itself after a 15 year absence. Debuting in 1987, the brand made their name pushing their high quality goose down filled jackets. Here’s a little trivia; F.A.T. is an acroymn For Arctic Temperatures. If you were active in the 80’s you might have envied, owned, or stole one of these. The reboot of TGF now includes a Men’s, Women’s and TGF Originals line. Of course fitted baseball caps are in there. The TRIPLE F.A.T. GOOSE Flap cap shown here is their version of the ubiquitous dogear cap. Sadly, we were underwhelmed.

In our opinion, the original TFG logo would have been a wiser choice of graphics for the front panels. Perhaps faux leather was a price point decision, but with all the stiff competition out here going with full grain leather would have been more “fitting”. Leather coat = leather cap, no? Were going to act like those velcro closures don’t exist.

We’d truly like to see Triple Fat Goose fly on this, if only for the good memories and OG flicks. Better luck next time.
