Don’t expect me to cosign the wreck that is the new G.I.JOE movie. I’m an old school fan boy. Certain things just don’t mix. For this post we’re taking a closer look at NEW ERA’s capsule collection of GIJOE based 59Fifty fitted caps. Fortunately for us, they stuck to the classic 80’s animated/comic book JOE version. (RIP Chris Latta) Two of the four styles make great use of original MARVEL COMICS artwork. The technique of dye sublimation makes the details pop. NEW ERA has used this before with HULK, THOR and FANTASTIC 4 drops, but this is a personal favorite. Those up on their game will spot the Serpentor cameo in the group. Cobra clearly has the advantage, 3 to 1 for this release. Great license, great execution. We’re betting that future JOE caps will be on their way to shelves soon.
