WIP announces the release of their koi cap. “Koi” is Japanese for carp, a popular symbol in both Japan and China. In both cultures, the koi represents courage, perseverance, and the ability to attain high goals. Nakayama, graff artist and Wip’s chief designer, got the inspiration for the piece from tattoo art.

The koi cap comes in two creative color ways: Dusty Gray and Khaki. The background images of waves and flowing water are done in regular gradient embroidery. Each individual scale of the fish is done with intricate raised embroidery with a tonal gradient. The rear logo is a calligraphy Kanji (Japanese character) of the word “Koi”. The under bill and the inner piping of the koi cap has a special satin lining to match the shade of the waves. This cap will be coming out in the next few months. Keep posted at www.wipcaps.com
