The UNIWATCH blog is a daily devotion to all things related to sports uniforms. Thanks to their watchful eyes, we’ve got a this piece of history. Pictured above are cards from the 1958 Topps baseball card set. Fix your eyes on the caps. This prototype San Francisco Giants SF lock up design never made it onto the field. Apparently this prototype was developed in the fall of 1957. After the jump is an image of Hall Of Famer, Willie Mays wearing the same cap during a press conference.
