New Era Japan digs deep in the country’s art history with one of their new headwear offerings, the Ukiyo-e Wave 59Fifty Fitted Cap. Ukiyo-e is a genre of Japanese art that thrived from the 17th to the 19th centuries. The artwork used for this hat features ocean waves, which is reminiscent of The Great Wave, made by Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai. Instead of a front design, they rendered the embroidery all away across the six panels. The New Era Flag is placed on the left panel, right on the artwork as if it’s floating on water. You can choose between black and blue colorways for this hat. Grab one here.
