Kobe Bryant Passes Shaq, Moves To 5th On All Time Scoring List

Filed under: News — Kareem at 11:00 pm on Tuesday, February 7, 2012

Kobe Bryant-web

Another day at the office, another milestone for perennial Western Conference all-star Kobe Bryant. In the second quarter of yesterdays 95-90 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, Kobe knocked down a long jump shot, and took sole possession of the number 5 spot on the NBA’s all time scoring list with point number 28,601. Despite the loss Kobe got to make history in his home town of Philly which probably made the moment a little sweeter. The next man up is the late great Wilt Chamberlain who scored 31,419 points during his illustrious career. It seems like A tall order but its one that Kobe should achieve relatively soon, seeing as how he continues to be a prolific scorer. Bryant has been in the league for 15 years and shows no signs of slowing down, much to the delight of myself and NBA fans around the world. Congrats Kobe!

The Champs! New York Giants Win Superbowl XLVl

Superbowl 46 was all that it was cracked up to be. It had all the components of a great football game, solid defense, good offense, hard hits, and last minute heroics. A Hollywood writer couldn’t have scripted this game any better. A rematch of Superbowl 42, a grudge match between two northeastern stalwarts with great traditon and history. The intense Tom Brady and his New England Patriots versus Easy Eli Manning and his New York Giants, this was as good as it gets. Both teams battled valiantly, exchanging blows for four quarters with the Giants eventually coming out on top. It was a hard fought game and neither side left anything on the field but only one team can win. Congratulations to the World Champion Giants, the reigning kings of the NFL.
