WIP announces the release of their koi cap. “Koi” is Japanese for carp, a popular symbol in both Japan and China. In both cultures, the koi represents courage, perseverance, and the ability to attain high goals. Nakayama, graff artist and Wip’s chief designer, got the inspiration for the piece from tattoo art.

The koi cap comes in two creative color ways: Dusty Gray and Khaki. The background images of waves and flowing water are done in regular gradient embroidery. Each individual scale of the fish is done with intricate raised embroidery with a tonal gradient. The rear logo is a calligraphy Kanji (Japanese character) of the word “Koi”. The under bill and the inner piping of the koi cap has a special satin lining to match the shade of the waves. This cap will be coming out in the next few months. Keep posted at www.wipcaps.com

the hundreds new era fitted baseball cap

Couple days ago we dropped a sneak peak that was caught over at THE HUNDREDS San Fransisco flag ship and now we have a preview of an upcoming “RSWD” NEW ERA fitted baseball cap. The cap, similar to the Post fitted, features a perforated Red bill with as well as button on a Navy cap with White embroidery on the front two panels. No word on a drop date but stay posted for more info as its made avaliable.

LOUD & OBNOXIOUS, a brand based out of Southern California teams up with ELM COMPANY to produce a hat for their winter collection. The base of this hat is navy with a red button. LOUD& is embroidered on the front panel of the hat. No word on a release date yet, but stay tuned for more information.

From TKO to NYC. Here’s a closer look an the upcoming Babylon Camo NEW ERA fitted cap from APPLEBUM. Looks like the pattern will be getting the New York Yankees treatment. A very good look, if you ask us. Expect these to drop in December at select AB accounts.

Apparently, THE HUNDREDS Post flagship store has a display containing two NEW ERA fitted baseball caps. The fitted features a Black cap, Purple bill with White dots and White embroidery. No word on a drop date or if these will be released but stay posted.

IM KING has teamed up with ESTATE LA to produce the Leaders fitted baseball caps. This cap features the Im King Leaders logo embroidered on the front panel of the hat and an Im King logo embroidered on the back of the hat. It comes in a Black/Red and a Blue/Red colorway. It is releasing on Friday, November 6, 2009 on Im King’s web store. It will only be up from 3PM-5PM Pacific time.

EXPENSIVE TASTE puts out more of their classic logo fitted caps in four new colorways. The new hats come in Red/White, Blue/White, Black/White, and a Black/White/Gold colorway. The classic logo is embroidered on the front panel of the hat. These caps should release soon so check back on a release date.

Seems that everyone is letting the cat out of the bag, this time around EXPENSIVE TASTE shows us what they have in store with three NEW ERA fitted baseball caps. All three caps feature the “Expensive Taste” logo embroidered on the front two panels on a Black/Grey colorway, Black/Green color way, and a Navy/Black colorway.  No word on a drop date or availability but stay posted.

WIP CAPS Champion Sound cap fitted is inspired by Jamaican music, who’s good vibrations have influenced island life the world over; roots reggae, rock steady, dub and dance hall to name a few. The cap comes in two color ways. One is a subdued all Black cap with a Gold satin underbill and Metallic Gold embroidery. The second version comes in Rasta colors with a Black underbill as well as the metallic gold embroidery. Since the Champion Sound cap is a celebration of music, the flagship logo on the rear of the cap is shaped into a cassette tape, which adds to its timeless appeal. This piece should be dropping in a few weeks. Check out World Famous Beat Junkie DJ Shortkut rocking the Black color way as early as August.
