Its been quiet on the eBAY scene for a hot minute. We came across a staff favorite - another vintage Miami Hurricanes fitted cap produced by STARTER. We broke a story these rare finds back in ‘07. We came across another, this time in a 7-3/8 size. To be fair, this looks rough around the edges and sweated, but this could still be a nice piece for the collection after a good steam cleaning. We [heart] vintage. Many companies have produced snap-back caps, but STARTER was best recognized as THE brand of the 80’s and early 90’s. The darker side of that picture was the stupid disturbing trend of rocking the original hang tags on your caps - but we digress. There’s been speculation of whether STARTER will be re-launched since it was acquired in 2005 by NIKE. So far, we’ve seen nothing on the radar. We recently unearthed a vintage gem that bridges the gap between the Don of snap backs and fitted caps. Yes, STARTER did make fitted baseball caps back in the day.

You are not witnessing any PHOTO-chop trickery. This in fact, is an official STARTER University of Miami Hurricanes fitted cap. Plucked from deadstock heaven of COAT OF ARMS, this fitted oddity has all the original hangtags (3 even). To further illustrate the point, check the STARTER carton that it came with. The tags read 7-1/4, but it fits like a true 7-3/8. Don’t bother flooding our inbox with requests and offers, this one is STRICTLY for the archive. CLASSIC MATERIAL.
