Here’s another vintage baseball cap find form HUNT AUCTIONS. Up for grabs is a mixed lot of
pro model fitted baseball hats, including three autographed pieces. Here is the run down of this lot. A 1970′s NEW ERA “Pro Model” Atlanta Braves cap. The number “52″ is written under the brim, signed by Biff Pocoroba. A size 7. Next is a 1970s NEW ERA “Pro Model” Boston Red Sox cap with number “37″ written under the brim, signed by Bill Lee with “Earth 2004″ added. There’s a late ’70s, early ’80s NEW ERA “Pro Model” Pittsburgh Pirates hat with number “16″ written under the brim. There’s another NEW ERA “Pro Model” cap size 7-5/8 Chicago White Sox hat attributed to Dave Duncan with number “18″ written under the brim. There is a New Era “Pro Model” San Francisco Giants hat is autographed by Gaylord Perry. Lastly there is a circa 2000 NEW ERA MLB Authentic Collection size 7-1/8 Atlanta Braves spring training hat attributed to Greg Maddux with number “31″ written inside the hat. No folks, this is not a SUPREME hat. In 1938, the Rainier Brewing Company purchased the Pacific Coast League, Seattle Indians and promptly renamed the club the Rainiers. Shameless promotion perhaps, but the franchise also gained a new ballpark replacing the old Dugdale Field. Incidentally the brewers named their company after the nearby Mount Rainier.
